Surviving Yusuf Olatunji Fatai

I came to know of the existence of Kim Oppenheimer after October 2022 due to a motion for psychiatric evaluation for Yusuf, which was filed by Kathryn Taylor Franklin at the time. Yusuf had no intention on completing it and took quite a few months to consent to it. The next time I saw Yusuf in court was February 23rd, 2023 where Yusuf and I signed this document Kathryn presented mid-court.

A few days later things got even more weird when Misty Leigh Carlson Yusuf’s attorney just so happened to be at the same after-school program my youngest son attended. Considering my youngest son had attended there for many months before my first time seeing Misty at the hearing I had never seen her there, and neither had any of my friends seen her before and according to staff, she had recently joined weeks earlier. I had eventually withdrawn my youngest son to avoid any conflict like I had previously experienced in the divorce proceedings.

Yusuf would complete his evaluation with Kim Oppenheimer, though his report, according to her, missed data he had refused to provide. Upon his completion of the report, Kathryn expressed dissatisfaction with the report, and eventually, there would be much ado about me also doing the evaluation with him, considering he refused to provide Kim Oppenheimer with my contact information.

Ultimately, I didn’t have to worry about it anymore until Kim Oppenheimer’s name was brought up again in November 2023. I expressed I could not afford to pay $12,000 like Yusuf had done, which is really absurd considering there are many therapist providers who accept insurance to complete such parental fitness evaluations. I learned information that Kathryn had every intent of making Yusuf a primary parent if I couldn’t find the sum of money to pay Kim Oppenheimer.

Considering my financial circumstances, I was able to complete the evaluation with another qualified provider. Kathryn would learn of this and make statements like “I went behind her back to complete this evaluation” mid-court on February 28th, 2024. Odd right who would say something like that, in my attempt to satisfy the Court I did what was affordable to me.

I was now court-ordered to complete another parental fitness evaluation with Kim Oppenheimer. Eager to finish the process as fast as possible, I immediately let Kim and her staff know of my financial circumstances and asked if they could take installments. Kim Oppenheimer and her staff Teresa Cotto informed me they would reach out to Judge Batchelor to find out, considering there wasn’t clarity on exactly how much the evaluation is to cost. Based on the prior consent order drafted by Kathryn Taylor Franklin and her staff, Heather Carlson, the amount to be paid was $3500. I paid about a week later in 2 installments and began gathering all documentation requested by Kim Oppenheimer, Teresa Cotto, and Shetoria Cash. I would eventually meet with Kim Oppenheimer on May 2nd, 2024.

After over 15 hours over 2 days, April 29th, 2024 and April 30th, 2024, I learned that Kathryn Taylor Franklin and Misty Leigh Carlson had filed frivolous TPOs against me, falsely alleging I had followed them these two sad excuses for professionals filed TPOs the morning of my appointment with Kim Oppenheimer. So as I arrived timely for my 2 hour appointment and waited in receptionist area Kim Oppenheimer was on a conference call per Teresa Cotto with Misty Leigh Carlson and Kathryn Taylor Franklin hearing about these unfounded allegations made by both of them.

During my time with Kim Oppenheimer in her personal office which was less than 1 hour of the scheduled 2-hour appointment time. She asked one question “How did I end up here today?” To which I responded at length about my life with Yusuf and my children and I experience with him. Considering at that moment I had no idea about any TPOs, Kim Oppenheimer never discussed with me about Kathryn or Misty.

Kim Oppenheimer laughed at the mention of alcohol, which struck me as odd considering Kathryn and Misty’s abuse of alcohol and DUIs was mentioned, more particularly Kathryn considering the great lengths she had gone to purport she wasn’t negligent during a supervised visit at Sugarloaf Mills Mall on March 3rd, 2024 with Yusuf to which Kathryn lost my oldest daughter and left the other 2 unattended.

Kim Oppenheimer gave no indication of anything troubling during my appointment with her, however, stated she wouldn’t record my visit and asked that I not record her. Hinting at improprieties off the bat, because it is common for providers to record sessions with clients.

She, in fact, scheduled another appointment for assessments/testing on May 6th, 2024, immediately following my appointment that day and another one on June 13th, 2024. By the end of the day, I was made aware that Kim Oppenheimer suggested I get psychiatric care and evaluation. Imagine my surprise and amazement. The following day, May 3rd, 2024, I was served with frivolous TPOs filed by disgraced attorneys Kathryn Taylor Franklin and Misty Carlson. Again I am confused and shocked at the lengths these two disgraceful attorneys would go to purport lies to cover the corruption they are up to their necks in.

I would later receive notice that the assigned guardian ad litem, Kathryn Taylor Franklin, stated I sent her a blank email containing the TPO. I checked and noticed that it was sent by accident, and the intent was to send it to my own attorney as she requested to see the allegations made by the 2 above-named disgraced attorneys.

Following that, I was notified that Teresa Cotto did send me a check in the mail returning in full my retainer of $3500. I would eventually receive this check in the mail on May 10th, 2024.
