For years, I endured a marriage filled with fear and violence. Despite Yusuf Olatunji Fatai’s arrest for serious offenses, including violence during my pregnancy, the abuse didn’t stop. Even after legal actions were taken, the threats and intimidation persisted, leaving my children and me in constant fear.
What’s more disheartening is the system’s failure to protect us. Despite clear evidence and arrest records, the legal system seemed to turn a blind eye, allowing the cycle of abuse to continue. It’s a painful reminder that justice isn’t always served, and victims are often left to fend for themselves.
Sharing my story isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. I hope that by speaking out, I can shed light on the realities many face and advocate for a system that truly protects and supports victims of abuse.
