I never imagined that fighting for my children would land me behind bars. On April 23, 2025, I was sentenced to 20 days in jail—not for a crime, but for standing up in a family court system that seems stacked against mothers like me. The allegations made against me didn’t even make sense because I was already in custody during the timeframe these things allegedly occurred.
Judge Regina Matthews, with questionable impartiality, decided my fate in a case that’s been tainted by bias from the start. Instead of protecting my rights and my children’s best interests, the court punished me for pushing back—speaking out about a lot of misconduct, highly unethical behavior, and a deeply broken process.
This isn’t just about me. It’s about every parent who’s been silenced, every child caught in the crossfire, and every courtroom where justice has taken a back seat to politics and power.
That’s why televised court proceedings matter. Transparency is the only way to ensure accountability. When the public can witness what happens inside the courtroom, it becomes harder for bias, misconduct, and injustice to hide behind closed doors.
